Sleek new collection combines trend-driven aesthetics with practical features

Commercial washrooms can now combine the trend for streamlined bathroom fittings with practical easy to maintain features, thanks to a new collection of wash troughs, Silhouette, from Armitage Shanks.

Suitable for offices, schools, retail sites and large volume washing facilities, the wash troughs within the Silhouette collection are each fabricated from the same single material. This creates a seamless finish with imperceptible joints and a natural, flowing appearance.

Silhoutte’s streamlined, modern shape provides washrooms with a clean, contemporary feel. However, the collection has been designed with more than appearances in mind; its dramatic angled gradient drops to a hidden waste area, making the item practical as well as pleasing, as blockages can be quickly addressed. What’s more, the surface is 100 per cent waterproof and easy to clean, reducing maintenance and offering increased durability.

The surface is also non-porous, meaning potentially harmful bacteria cannot be absorbed into the fire retardant and UV stable material. Silhouette wash troughs can be purchased with a tap deck or an upstand.

Silhouette is available in four standard sizes, 120, 180, 240 or 300cm and can also be custom built in line with the exact needs of a washroom. All options come with a five year guarantee and can easily be installed using a hole saw, allowing customers to install with taps only or with taps and soap dispensers.
