IDEAL STANDARD FLUSHED WITH SUCCESS AT THE BUILD IT AWARDS 2016
AquaBlade by Ideal Standard wins Best Plumbing or Drainage Product
AquaBlade flush technology from Ideal Standard won Best Plumbing or Drainage Product at the Build It Awards 2016, the self-build industry’s most prestigious award ceremony.
The judges were impressed with AquaBlade’s exclusive and patented technology, which offers the best superior flushing performance ever and sets new standards in toilet design, all at low water volumes.
Ideal Standard received the award at last week’s ceremony, hosted by comedian Tim Vine, which took place at London’s Hilton Bankside.
AquaBlade technology provides the highest standard in both toilet design and optimum flush performance – the smooth, gently curved surface with no overhanging rim also means it is much more hygienic and as easy to clean than any other toilet currently available.
AquaBlade’s ability to operate at low flushing volumes means it has excellent energy saving capabilities, helping selfbuilders achieve sustainability targets and reducing future energy bills. What’s more, the system is incredibly simple to maintain.
Leanne Martin, product manager at Ideal Standard, said: “We’re thrilled to have won a prestigious Build It Award for one of our best products, AquaBlade.
“We strive to use our expertise as global bathroom market leaders to bring an innovative approach to challenges; and bringing meaningful, insight-driven innovation to a toilet is by definition a challenge in itself.
“We refused to accept that a high-performing flush system can’t look beautiful and AquaBlade flushing technology embodies everything we stand for.
“Furthermore, if fulfils the efficiency and performance criteria demanded by selfbuilders and those dealing with large scale renovations, as well as offering outstanding aesthetics and ease of maintenance once the property is occupied.”
AquaBlade has had previous awards success with wins at the Design Awards and Housebuilder Product Awards. The technology is also shortlisted at this year’s London Construction Awards and the Housebuilder Awards and was a finalist at the House Beautiful Awards 2016.
